Oracle Database Admin

Location Boston, MA

Need to come to JPMC Boston location 3 days per week.

BS/BA degree or equivalent experience

8+ years of work experience as a Database Expert

Strong experience in one or more databases (CockroachDB, PostgresSQL, Oracle, Sybase) and big data systems (Hadoop)

In-depth knowledge of Database Performance Tuning, Query Tuning and Optimization

Adept with Database best practices, Data Modelling, Partitioning, Indexing and related database skills

Advanced Knowledge of database internals to analyze and troubleshoot production issues

Responsible for Data Archiving, Data Purging and overall hygiene of Data Platform

Solid experience with large scale Data Migration. We are migrating data from Hadoop to CockroachDB

Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines

Understanding of architecture and design across all systems

Working proficiency in developmental toolsets

Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices

Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals

Passionate about building an innovative culture

Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages

Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance, and software improvement
