Overview:

As an Ophthalmologist Phaco Surgeon you will play a crucial role in providing specialized eye care and performing advanced phacoemulsification surgeries. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the overall health and wellbeing of patients alleviating visual impairments and improving quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to diagnose and treat various ocular conditions.
  • Perform phacoemulsification surgeries to remove cataracts and restore vision.
  • Provide preoperative and postoperative care for surgical patients.
  • Interpret diagnostic tests and imaging results to formulate treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and treatment strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with patients explaining procedures and addressing concerns.
  • Stay updated with latest advancements in ophthalmology and surgical techniques.
  • Document patient records accurately and maintain confidentiality.
  • Participate in educational and outreach programs related to eye health and disease prevention.
  • Contribute to clinical research and publications in the field of ophthalmology.

Required Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
  • Completion of residency training in Ophthalmology.
  • Board certification in Ophthalmology and subspecialization in Phaco Surgery.
  • Licensure to practice as an Ophthalmologist in the relevant location.
  • Demonstrated experience in performing phacoemulsification surgeries independently.
  • Excellent clinical judgment and decisionmaking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with patients and colleagues effectively.
  • Commitment to upholding medical ethics and standards of patient care.
  • Proficiency in using ophthalmic diagnostic and surgical equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Keen attention to detail and precision in surgical procedures.
  • Adherence to compliance regulations and best practices in ophthalmic care.
  • Continuous professional development and willingness to pursue further certifications.
