Job Summary
The role of the Operations Supervisor is responsible for the daytoday running and supervision of the retail and lash operations. A key part of the position is to provide a comprehensive and quality service by supervising activities and providing good service to all customers. This is a position for an individual who is committed hardworking and welcomes a challenge. You must be a selfstarter who can work with many different people but will be able to manage your time and the working day positively and productively.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Shop Operations
Be the first point of contact for customer queries and requests resolving and escalating as necessary;
Manage and assist with the setting out of equipment and event management duties.
Run the shops by making sure it opens and closes on time
Organize events and promotions to get customers to buy online and also from the shop.
Supervise and work with shop assistant to do sales and offer good customer service
Support to recruit shop assistants when needed and help to train them
Keep and update customer databases
Record and update sales and expenses
Make sure the shop and the washroom is clean to high standards
Monitor the online ordering email account and make sure orders are sent out on time by Courier or Post Office
Speak to courier people to collect orders when we have orders to be delivered
Coordinate order delivery to the customer and followup with the customer once an order has been delivered.
Engage customers and answer questions concerning store products
Receive and record information generated for sales
Give and get customers to complete our shop surveys
Monitor and reduce cost of running the shop and lash bar
Come up with ideas to increase sales
Deal with queries and complaints on the telephone by email and in person
Manage deliveries via couriers and post
Pay sales into bank account
Do shop stock taking and checking
Make sure we offer excellent customer service to our customers
Oversee the work on suppliers and vendors
Sales Marketing & Branding
Oversee the branding and marketing plans and ensure they are effectively implemented.
Oversee daily social media posts (pictures and videos)
Find events that will help us promote the brand
Speak to relevant TV/radio programmes to find out about promotional/barter opportunities
Find mutually beneficial partnerships with bridal shops salons beauty shops women s boutiques
Represent the Brands at events meetings and promotional activities where necessary
Oversee the sending of regular text messages to customers
Sending monthly promotional newsletters to customers
Work with a graphic designer to get artwork for promotions and branding.
Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the Owner
Requirements
Minimum qualification a certificate diploma or HND in sales marketing business and administration
Proficient in using a computer e.g. Microsoft Office Word Excel & PowerPoint
Able to use social media platforms Facebook Instagram YouTube etc.
Experience in sales and marketing
Experience working in a shop
Excellent telephone manner
Excellent administrative and organizational skills
Attention to detail and ability to follow tasks through to completion
Ability to respond to and meet urgent deadlines
Experience using Microsoft Office
Experience in the retail industry would be preferable
