Families pay a monthly fee and when their children outgrow their bikes we
exchange them for a larger size. We refurbish the used bikes and make them
available to other families. Its sustainable and hasslefree.
With over 80000 bikes we are the secondlargest bike rental network globally
and the largest in the childrens bike sector. With over $50 million in funding we
are rapidly expanding across Europe. While our headquarters is in the United
Kingdom we are already active in Germany Austria Spain and The Netherlands.
About the Role
We are seeking an independent and proactive Operations Project Manager to
lead operational enhancement projects at Bike Club. Reporting to the Chief of
Staff and collaborating closely with the COO and Operations Leadership Team
you will play a crucial role in identifying areas for improvement designing
streamlined workflows and ensuring the successful delivery of operations
projects.
Bike Club is going through a transformational period in our operations as we
expand into multiple European countries. We have exciting projects in the
pipeline to optimise our European operations and build software systems to
support our operational teams.
Tasks
What Youll Do:
- Lead operational change projects from initiation to implementation taking
ownership of project planning and delivery. - Collaborate with COO and senior stakeholders to define project scope
delivery and business case for benefits realisation. - Manage operations projects comprehensively including understanding
requirements planning milestones timelines dependencies priorities
risk management resource allocation and stakeholder communication. - Work closely with the Engineering team for technologylayered projects
ensuring alignment of strategies and outcomes. - Manage stakeholder relationships and provide regular progress reports to
the wider Bike Club Group effectively communication project goals
progress and outcomes. - Direct the implementation and optimisation of Warehouse Management
Systems (WMS) to improve operational efficiency and accuracy. - Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to seamlessly integrate WMS into
existing operational workflows. - Develop comprehensive training programs for teams to support the
adoption of new processes and technologies.
Other Responsibilities
- Having tradeoff conversations with Senior Stakeholders across multiple
projects and minimising scope creep. - Conduct thorough assessments of current operational processes to
identify inefficiencies. - Develop and implement strategies for streamlining workflows reducing
costs and enhancing operational efficiency. - Foster a collaborative and positive working environment promoting
teamwork and open communication. - Implement a culture of continuous improvement encouraging feedback
and innovation.
Requirements
Your Mission
- The ability to build strong working relationships with Operations and
Engineering. - You will have a strong desire to work in a technical environment and be
excited about new technologies. - You will be someone who loves everything tech and enjoys being part of
the process of developing operational projects. - You will be happy to take ownership of all operations projects ensuring
deadlines are met and adjusting roadmaps as required. - Building trust managing team dynamics and protect them from external
distractions so they can focus on what they are best at. - Share the why of projects so teams understand the business
requirements and priorities.
What You Bring
- Proven 3 years experience in management of complex operational
improvement projects / operations leadership roles in startup environment - Recent record of endtoend delivery of complex change comprising
multiple streams of work and involving a diverse group of internal
stakeholders. - Experience in implementing ground up software developments within
operations. - Excellent communication and organisation skills.
- Understanding of Asana and good project management principles.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Thrives under pressure and able to adapt to changing business
requirements and priorities.
