On behalf of one of its clients, a freight forwarding company, the French Chamber of Commerce is looking for an Operations executive .
As an operation executive, you will be responsible for the daily operations functions including but not limited to orders processing, generating invoices and delivery notes, stock inventories, stock movements, custom clearance and all administrative support as well as freight related functions. You will assist in driving improvements and promote growth to meet the Company s objectives
Main responsabilities :
Primary point of liaison with customer on all issues relating to ongoing day to day region-wide business process and operational issues Internal
Coordinate with internal shipping operations team and external parties/customers to resolve any shipping issues.
Coordinate with suppliers, warehouse, forwarders, shipping lines to ensure smooth shipments are executed to meet customer requirement
To track and report all operations improvement as assigned by the Manager
Confers, advises, initiates, and coordinates with other departments
Follow through each cargo delivery by working closely with shipping agents to help manage and mitigate cargo and shipping operational risks.
Anticipate problems and take proactive actions to ensure smooth delivery, optimize value and proactively minimize demurrage exposure
Work closely with various department to ensure each transaction is carried out timely, accurately and professionally
Comply with Company s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Maintain timely and accurate records in relevant system and spreadsheet
Requirements
Skills/Knowledge/Qualifications :
- Diploma / Degree in supply chain / shipping
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in similar capacity
- Proficient in preparation of shipping documents
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Excel
- Proficient in handling full set of shipping documents

Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in Sales in the Freight Forwarding industry with both Account Management and Development Minimum 3 years experience in freight forwarding / logistics / transportation industry required Proven sales track record in developing new business with existent client portfolio Sound understanding and knowledge of Freight Forwarding industry; with Eastbound knowledge would be a plus Demonstrated ability to synthesize customer requirements to develop innovative solutions Being on Europeans and Intra-Asia trade lanes would be a plus Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Good command of written and spoken English
