Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the billing process for outpatient services
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of claims to insurance companies
• Monitor and resolve billing discrepancies and denials
• Implement and enforce billing policies and procedures
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to gather necessary billing information
• Handle patient inquiries and concerns regarding billing issues
• Analyze billing and coding processes to identify areas for improvement
• Train and mentor junior billing staff
• Stay updated on healthcare billing regulations and requirements
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with billing standards
• Participate in revenue cycle management and financial reporting
• Utilize billing software to process claims and manage patient accounts
• Coordinate with insurance companies to resolve claim disputes
• Assist in the development of billing strategies to optimize revenue generation

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration Finance or related field
• Proven experience in outpatient department billing or revenue cycle management
• Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Strong knowledge of healthcare billing codes (CPT ICD10 HCPCS)
• Excellent understanding of insurance guidelines and claim submission procedures
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in billing processes
• Effective communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced healthcare environment
• Knowledge of billing compliance and regulatory requirements
• Experience in training and supervising billing staff
• Analytical and problemsolving abilities in resolving billing discrepancies
• Adaptability to changes in healthcare billing guidelines and practices
• Certification in Healthcare Billing and Coding (e.g. CPC CPB) is a plus
• Understanding of revenue cycle optimization and financial reporting
• Team player with strong organizational and time management skills
