Job Title Enterprise Office 365 Architect

I) Core tasks: 90%

1. Design implement and maintain the server and network components of a hybrid onpremise Microsoft Exchange Servers and O365 Exchange Online (EXO) environment that includes over 22000 users accounts. Perform network assessment analysis and planning. Recommend additional or upgraded hardware/software for various network components including servers routers firewalls etc. Involved in designing network and computer security measures. The design of the system must accommodate data communication networks including local area networks (LANs) wide area networks (WANs) Intranets and the Cloud. The data must be highly secure in transit at rest and in user sessions.

2. Understanding the current production state of network architecture and associated legacy applications; then designing implementing and testing solutions to incorporate new hardware and software resources into the existing environment.

3. Configuration of existing Cisco ASA firewall appliances with new firewall rules to incorporate new Palo Alto firewall appliances and as required documenting & updating appliance security certificates on network and server hardware devices.

4. Troubleshooting and rectifying network and server errors that cause specific email delivery or data communication failures both within and outside of the supported network infrastructure.

5. Provide detailed plans as well as assist in testing and documenting run procedures for high availability and disaster recovery scenarios.

6. Configuration of network software tools to provide automated proactive threshold alerting for network and server performance monitoring in order to preemptively plan for necessary hardware or software upgrades or changes.

7. Work collaboratively with the Identity and Access Management team to design update and ensure (via routine auditing) that network and applications security policies are adhered to.

8. Research and evaluate new network and security technology solutions as well as preparation of design presentations to management for securing investments into new project implementations.

9. Provide support for escalated L3 service issues related to network and server infrastructure components as well as train service desk analysts on recurring support issues and those associated with recently implemented changes.

10. Other similar professional responsibilities as assigned.

II) Additional recurring tasks: 10%

1. Analyzing user requirements and user stories at business/Scrum meetings as well as change control planning meetings to strategize the impact of requirements on different platforms and applications.

2. Participating in recurring meetings with support teams to discuss improvements in network and security infrastructure discovery data collection and analysis. Helping to provide them with network design diagrams network appliance configurations and inventory in order to recommend solutions that would increase network efficiency with respect to the current infrastructure.

3. Documentation of all technical infrastructure changes and business process changes in the form of reports and presentations that include business justifications and impact for any requested maintenance windows from management teams.
