Job Summary:
  • Searching for a neuropsychologist to join our comprehensive multidisciplinary team to support the mental and behavioral health of the adolescent and adult population at a stateoftheart inpatient psychiatric hospital in Indianapolis IN..
  • The 159bed facility provides evaluation and treatment for patients with complex psychiatric and neuropsychiatric illness and high acuity needs through intermediate to longterm hospitalization.
  • Patients are provided with evidencebased and holistic care in order to facilitate their transition to the most appropriate and leastrestrictive treatment setting.
  • Therapists who thrive in a fastpaced environment excel in critical thinking and enjoy providing quality care for vulnerable patient populations are encouraged to apply.
  • The neuropsychologist will engage in administering neuropsychological assessments formulating written reports providing feedback to patients/families/caregivers and implement psychotherapy groups.
  • Additionally the neuropsychologist will collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to implement evidencebased treatment recommendations and provide formal and informal staff education to maximize benefit of therapeutic care.
  • Opportunities for individual therapy family therapy milieu management and supervision are also available.
Job Duties/Responsibilities/Functions (including but not limited to)
  • Administer psychological and neuropsychological assessments to both adolescent and adult patients.
  • Perform necessary scoring and test interpretation and provide written report regarding assessment results and recommendations.
  • Provide feedback regarding assessment results and recommendations to patient family/caregivers and treatment team.
  • Provide evidencebased recovery oriented therapeutic and psychoeducational interventions to patients in group format.
  • Maintain a therapeutic alliance with the patient and family/caregivers.
  • Participate in clinical treatment team meetings.
  • Provide education formally and informally to staff members in order to facilitate optimal patient care.
  • Complete documentation of all aspects of patient contact per facility departmental and HIPPA guidelines.
  • Provide supervision to practicum students as applicable.
  • Ensure patient involvement and participation in treatment planning and implementation.

Minimum Qualifications
  • PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology
  • Licensed in Indiana with HSPP designation
  • Background/experience/training in neuropsychology
  • Experience conducting neuropsychological assessment across the lifespan.
  • Ability to write comprehensive and accurate assessment reports.
  • Ability to clearly communicate orally and through writing.
  • Ability to complete clinical documentation in a timely manner.
  • Ability to supervise practicum students as applicable.
  • Ability to effectively utilize hospital technology.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws pertaining to the practice of psychology in Indiana.
  • Knowledge and consistent implementation of professional ethics guidelines as delineated by the American Psychological Association.
  • Certification in EMDR Neurofeedback and/or Biofeedback preferred.
