Network Engineer / Network Security Check Point/Cisco/Juniper Firewall solution provision
Requirements / Qualifications / Task:
Partner with vendors to select appropriate technical solutions.
Develop state of the art technology appropriate to deliver stable and scalable technical
solutions.
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop consensus drive results and execute projects
across the organization on time and within budget.
Manage several simultaneous projects from conception through implementation.
Contribute to standards and design patterns. Deliver solutions tailored to internal
business requirements. Articulate design rationale flexibly adapt solutions and iterate
designs when required.
Provide 3rd level support and input as required to teams diagnosing reported issues
providing root cause analysis to management and the business teams.
Routers Switches LAN/WAN Design and Engineering
VPN technologies Network Encryption and Network Access Control experience.
Handson experience with Cisco IOSbased routers: ASR ISRs Cat8Ks.
Handson experience with Cisco Licensing Server
Cisco IOS based switches within the Catalyst and Nexus families.
Strong working knowledge of networking layer 3 technologies such as routing protocols
OSPF BGP EVPN ACI Multicast VRF GRE & IPSec
Solid working knowledge of data communication protocol suites such as TCP/IP and
other general data networking knowledge (data cabling) and telecom services
(T1/T3/OC3 etc.)
Working knowledge of network infrastructure performance diagnosis and scalability
assessment activities
Indepth knowledge of layer 2 technologies such as Vlans SpanningTree MLAG MEC
VXLAN and MPLS.
Central Authentication Authorization and Accounting protocols such as RADIUS or
TACACS
Display their core network engineering fundamental knowledge which includes but not
limited to network system design and implementation procedures
Qualifications
For internal use only
Need to have at least 10 years of experience with core networking technologies and other
disciplines related to data communications
Ability to work and document proof of concepts (POCs) assessments detailed
evaluations report etc.
Solid understanding of network topologies: routing & switching
Solid understanding of IP networking (TCP/IP and packet analysis)
Ability to write technical and operations documentation
Ability to describe technical concept; verbally and on paper
Cisco Certification CCNP or above a plus.
Overview:
The Network Security role is crucial to our organization as it involves implementing and managing robust security measures to safeguard our network infrastructure. The individual in this position will play a key role in ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of data as well as maintaining the overall security posture of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing implementing and maintaining network security solutions using Check Point Cisco and Juniper firewall technologies.
- Conducting regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend solutions.
- Configuring and managing intrusion detection and prevention systems.
- Monitoring network traffic for unusual activities and security threats.
- Collaborating with crossfunctional teams to address security concerns and incidents.
- Developing and implementing security policies and procedures.
- Performing security incident response and forensic investigation when necessary.
- Conducting regular security awareness training and education for staff.
- Managing access control and authentication systems.
- Stay updated with the latest security trends vulnerabilities and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CCNP Security CCSA JNCISSEC or equivalent.
- Proven experience working with Check Point Cisco and Juniper firewall technologies.
- Indepth knowledge of network security concepts protocols and best practices.
- Experience in network incident response and forensic investigation.
- Strong understanding of VPN technologies and protocols.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problemsolving skills related to network security issues.
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in conducting security assessments and audits.
