We are searching for a Network Design Specialist to design, digital networks and systems. They will work as a bridge between Sales and Operations to provide technical resources as needed. They will play a crucial role in infrastructure and network design, fault and performance resolution, and the development of processes, procedures, tools, and documentation in support of the day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Evaluates blueprints and supporting documentation to design infrastructure and endpoints (wifi access points, cameras, etc) designs to meet the technology goals of the client
Designs network, surveillance and retrofit infrastructure solutions
Studying new technologies to potentially bring into the design
Testing prototypes
Working with network architects to make changes to the design, if necessary
Review outside vendor site surveys for preparing documentation
Prepare BOM for vendor qualifications on proposals
Develop quoting tools for creating BOM/Proposals
Register deals with equipment manufacturers for qualified pricing
Support Internal departments with design, documentation, support, and training on hardware and equipment
Professional Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in technical/engineering discipline or equivalent experience preferred
5+ sales engineering, engineering or customer-facing experience in IT required
Minimum 3 years of experience designing enterprise-level WAN/LAN/SD-WAN solutions or digital infrastructure required
Preferred Skills:
Possess curiosity and a thirst for knowledge
Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Exhibit a customer-centric focus
Excellent knowledge of reading and understanding blueprints and as-builts
Experience with design software (Ekahau, CAD, etc)
Solution selling experience and/or training a plus
Good knowledge of IP networking
