Contract staff needed to help support the Network Field Services team in the installation of CAT5/6 network cabling (80%) fiber optic cabling IP camera systems and network switch installations (20%).

**This is an onsite position.

***This position is 80% network cable installation and 20% networking. The team is looking for someone that is currently doing network cable installation. They are focusing more on the 80%.

The NCDITT Network Field Services team travels throughout the state to install the physical infrastructure to NCDOT and NCDMV buildings. Installing CAT5/6 and fiber optic cabling is the primary role. Termination and testing of CAT 5/6 and fiber optic cabling is a necessary skill set. Any Cisco switch and IP camera experience is a bonus. Installations may include working in attics crawl spaces and office environments. Travel can include leaving the office at 5:00 AM when necessary and occasionally returning back to the office after 7:00 PM. If needed spending a night out to complete work next day at far remote offices all travel will be in state owned vehicles.
