This is a remote position.
Below are the LCAT requirements for the App DBA. Note that while this is written more towards Oracle SQL the database to be managed will be MySQL and experience with that environment is required.
Provides all activities related to the administration of database schemas and their objects. Projects longrange
requirements for database schema administration and design in conjunction with Infrastructure DBAs in the
information systems function. Designs creates and maintains databases schemas in a client/server environment.
Conducts quality control and auditing of database schemas in a client/server environment to ensure accurate and
appropriate use of data and permissions. Advises users on access to various client/server databases. Designs
implements and maintains complex database schema objects with respect to user requirements access methods
access time device allocation validation checks organization protection and security documentation and statistical
methods. Applies knowledge and experience with database technologies development methodologies and frontend
programming languages (e.g. SQL). Performs database programming and supports systems design.
Requirements
Minimum Experience:
Five (5) years progressive experience of database query languages such as Oracle PL SQL SQL Server and
MS Access. Also has at least three years handson experience and expertise in Database Schema
management. Experience also shall include capability to work on various operating systems and additional
programming languages. Has experience in at least two projects in a large organization responsible for
administering operating maintaining and securing a largescale computer database.
Security/Certification Requirements:
CompTIA security
OCA18 or relevant certification
