Are you ready to take charge in monitoring managing and resolving software and networking/server hardware issues at our esteemed customer sites Were seeking a proactive individual who thrives in a dynamic environment to serve as our Field Support Specialist. Working with minimal supervision youll play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless operations and exceptional technical support for our valued clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently monitor manage and troubleshoot issues related to software and networking/server hardware at customer sites.
  • Serve as a crucial escalation point for Technical Support addressing field support requirements and resolving complex issues promptly and effectively.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Test teams to guarantee timely product deliveries in alignment with projected schedules.

Key Qualifications:

  • 36 years of handson experience in operational data center environments demonstrating proficiency in network design and implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows Operating Systems VMWare Network Storage Databases and Network Software Applications.
  • Experience with automated kickstart installations commandline administration (including bash/shell scripting) and Microsoft WSUS/SCRM Update processes.
  • Proficiency in Mobile Device Management and Device Provisioning.
  • Familiarity with Linux software/tools such as tcpdump Syslog Apache Tomcat HA/DRBD and PAM.
  • Understanding of SNMP and Network Monitoring Solutions.
  • Knowledge of DoD SRS/STIGs as well as a general understanding of Cellular Telephones/PDAs and GSM/CDMA networks.
  • Possession of a SECRET or above Clearance.

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Alternatively at least 5 years of experience in a related area.
