About the role

As Revenue Manager at MFSV, you will be a highly analytical individual with previous experience in a similar environment, with a strong interest in the design and execution of revenue growth plans. You will report directly into the General Manager and work cross functionally with a multitude of stakeholders across our commercial and finance teams.

Excellent customer service is what we strive to achieve for all our customers within each department at MFSV. We aim to provide an outstanding personalised service to each guest who stays and dines with us, acknowledging special occasions and making them memorable for all guests.

It would also be beneficial, but not essential, to have prior experience with Opera, Concept, SAP, Oracle (ERP) and ONQ software systems.

Role Summary

The main responsibilities of the role will be (but not limited to):

  • Implementing revenue management operations, procedures and best practices for Mill Farm facilities, the Hotel at Mill Farm
  • Optimising pricing and inventory based upon customer demand and market conditions for all Mill Farm s revenue generating departments in order to maximise profitable revenues.
  • Ensure the market positioning of all the products of Mill Farm are in line with the objectives of the commercial plan and senior management team including the achievement of revenue, profit, people and guest satisfaction KPI s.
  • Management of the reservations and events team, ensuring that products are sold to optimum capacity within agreed company standards.
  • Developing pricing strategies, including building rates for rooms and packages, and determining discounts and specialty rates.
  • Management of all third party agreements, connectivity and onwards relations
  • Oversee revenue management and distribution strategy of the complex and manage day to day yield operations upon customer demand and market conditions for all Mill Farm s revenue generating departments.
  • Provide weekly forecast of expected results, variances and budget comparisons and provide input for development of the overall market sales strategy for all departments.
  • Analyse overall monthly performance and provide a summary report with recommendations to improve long term strategies.
  • Responsible for best practice standards to include, competitor analysis, distribution yield management, inventory availability by channel, pricing control and best available rate concepts.
  • Responsible for all conference and events revenue streams and team management

Ideal Applicant:

  • A minimum of three years in reservations management or a revenue role
  • Detailed knowledge of technical and managerial applications of reservations systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills with an emphasis on market, inventory, and pricing.
  • Ability to interpret market and benchmarking data and apply to sales strategy.
  • Ability to analyse financial reports: P&L, forecasts and budgets
  • Hold a full UK Driving Licence

The Revenue Manager will hold a bachelor s degree as a minimum. The subject of this degree varies, but it is preferred for them to have completed a degree in statistics, marketing, mathematics, finance, accounting, economics, management, or a degree in business law.
