Microsoft and Security Administrator

This is a remote position.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Microsoft and Security Administrator to take charge of our IT infrastructure focusing on Microsoft Office 365 administration Intune security configuration server/desktop management and cybersecurity maintenance. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems while maintaining a strong security posture.

Responsibilities:

1. Microsoft Office 365 Administration:

• Manage and administer Microsoft Office 365 services including Exchange Online SharePoint OneDrive and Teams.
  
• Configure and maintain user accounts permissions and group policies within Office 365.
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve Office 365related issues promptly.
  

2. Intune Security Configuration:

• Implement and manage security policies and settings within Intune to protect devices and data.
  
• Focus on device management application control and conditional access policies.
  
• Monitor and respond to security alerts and incidents.
  

3. Server and Desktop Management:

• Review and optimize server and desktop management solutions to ensure efficient operation.
  
• Perform regular system maintenance updates and patch management.
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve server and desktoprelated issues.
  

4. Cybersecurity and Penetration Testing:

• Collaborate with external cybersecurity teams to conduct monthly penetration testing on external firewalls routers and publicfacing servers/services.
  
• Address vulnerabilities and implement recommended security improvements.
  
• Maintain uptodate antivirus and antimalware solutions regularly updating virus definitions and scanning systems for threats.
  
• Respond to and mitigate any malware or virus incidents promptly.
  

5. Security Policy Maintenance:

• Review and update security policies and procedures regularly to align with industry best practices and evolving threats.
  
• Make necessary adjustments to configurations based on policy changes.
  

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or related field preferred.
  
• Proven experience as a Microsoft Administrator and in IT security roles.
  
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Intune and cybersecurity best practices.
  
• Experience with server and desktop management in Windows environments.
  
• Knowledge of antivirus and antimalware solutions.
  
• Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.
  
• Security certifications (e.g. CISSP CompTIA Security) are a plus.
