Job Description:

• Facility Requirement:
  • Traveler must have permanent address outside 50mile radius of Madison (permanent address must be included in travelers profile: resume Medefis portal and all onboarding documentation must have permanent address listed).
• Education:
  • Bachelors degree in a chemical physical biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology. (Education verification is required.)
• Experience:
  • Traveler must have completed two years of level 1 trauma hospital laboratory experience or similar size hospital.
  • Traveler must have high skillset in all blood bank areas per skills checklist.
  • Successfully completed traveler assignment (13 weeks).
• Licensure and Certification:
  • ASCP Medical Technologist certification required.
• References:
  • Needs 2 completed references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only for work performed in the last two years).
• Floating
  • Travelers are the first to float to floors working with children up to 1 year of age and/or based on the travelers competency skills/experience. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization. During the travelers assignment if the primary unit no longer has a need shifts will be reassigned to another unit in order to complete contract
