Manual Test Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a QA Test Engineer to support the delivery of multiple projects. Test Analysts will provide testing capability to the allocated project and help to ensure that products are delivered on time to a level of quality that is acceptable to our clients. Our client is seeking test analysts with capability in functional and non-functional testing, with skills in either but not necessarily in both. You are responsible for meeting personal and team targets as well as our customer satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Â.

Execution of manual, regression, functional and non-functional test cases for both our web and mobile applications.

Â.

Contribute to writing/updating test cases based on analysis of functional & technical requirements.

Â.

Collaborate with the developers & product management team to improve the user experience.

Â.

Proactively identify and advise risks and issues to the product team.

Â.

Develop and improve public documentation of the software’s functionality and features, as well as internal documentation around processes and applied technology.

Â.

Identify opportunities for test automation.

Requirements

Â.

Experience as a Test or QA Engineer – 2+ Yrs.

Â.

Experience in writing / reviewing test cases and manual test execution.

Â.

Experience using Test Management Tools (for example Jira X-Ray) including reporting of defects.

Â.

Ability to “think outside the box” and test in an exploratory manner.

Â.

Desire and ability to learn, understand and explain Elumina’s as a product.

Â.

Demonstrate a high level of analytical and communication skills.

Â.

Self-motivation with an agile mindset (Jira, Sprints, Scrums)

Â.

Bonus Points: Experience working with automated testing frameworks such as Selenium and Cucumber.

Â.

Writing test automation suites to support continuous deployment.

Â.

Ensuring legacy platforms have full regression suites.

Â.

Owning QA within your team and coaching developers on QA best practice.

Â.

Responsible for improving QA practices within your team.

Â.

Being involved early in projects/user stories to ensure there is a QA plan.

Â.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage changing priorities.

Â.

Excellent knowledge in QA Framework, Automation Testing, Selenium, Performance testing, Security Testing & Agile.

Â.

Should be aware of bug tracking and QA process

Â.

Good Database knowledge

Â.

Should be a Creative thinker.

Â.

Excellent communication skills.

Â.

Ability to work independently.

Â.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Organized self-discipline and self-driven.
