Job Description:
As a Maintenance Technician at Laxmi Electronics you will be responsible for performing preventive and breakdown maintenance on molding machines and various plant equipment. You will play a critical role in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of our production processes. The role will involve working with a variety of equipment including DG sets compressors chillers cranes pump houses cooling towers and other essential machinery.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct preventive maintenance tasks on molding machines and plant equipment according to established schedules to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
2. Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions performing repairs promptly to minimize production disruptions.
3. Coordinate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities ensuring minimal impact on production schedules.
4. Perform routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues and address them proactively.
5. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities including work performed parts used and equipment status.
6. Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to procure spare parts and materials as needed for maintenance activities.
7. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
8. Assist in the installation commissioning and decommissioning of machinery and equipment as required.
9. Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in equipment maintenance to continuously improve maintenance processes and efficiency.
10. Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance technical skills and knowledge related to equipment maintenance.
Requirements:
1. High school diploma or equivalent qualification; technical certification or vocational training in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.
2. Proven experience in maintenance and repair of molding machines and plant equipment with a focus on preventive maintenance practices.
3. Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions effectively.
4. Familiarity with a variety of tools and equipment used in maintenance activities.
5. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
6. Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
7. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and under pressure in a fastpaced manufacturing environment.
8. Flexibility to work on rotating shifts and weekends as needed to support production schedules.
9. Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to equipment maintenance.
10. Positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
