Mainframe Storage System administrator

• Basic knowledge of operating systems and systems administration concepts
• Experience with IBM z/OS DFSMS IBM DS8000 DASD IBM TS77xx and VTS is required
• CA Vantage Storage Resource Manager GDPS or REXX experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to learn new concepts and technologies as well as a personal commitment to stay current with latest technology concepts
• Good problemsolving analytical and critical thinking skills
• Identifies and resolves less clearly defined problems using established procedures and/or protocols as guidelines

• Completes backup and recovery data migration storage allocation connectivity and storage reporting requests.
• Creates removes and expands file systems and volumes.
• Provides SAN switch director monitoring configuration and support.
• Works with senior peers to develop change management procedures.
• Creates and maintains documentation.
• Creates investment proposals and presents concepts during team meetings.
• Provides assistance with system solution design.
• May require rotating 24x7 oncall support responsibility as well as weekend support
