JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title:

Shop Helper

Reports To:

Shop Foreman

Summary:

The Warehouseman will act in a support role under the direction of the shop foreman. The Warehouseman will be responsible for maintenance and organization of the shop floor and yard.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Act as a support for the technicians under the direction of the shop foreman
  
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of shop area and yard
• Maintain tools and equipment
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Maintain current knowledge of safety standards
• Troubleshoot equipment failures
  
• Promote safety awareness and complies with all applicable safety procedures and regulations
  
• Undergo extensive safety training
  
• Be familiar with Company HSE policies and procedures
  
• Share knowledge & best practice across the company
  
• All other duties as assigned
  

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment
  
• Strong organizational skills
  
• Ability to demonstrate strong decision making skills, initiative and assertiveness
  
• Must be able to operate an overhead crane and/or jib cranes safely
  
• Must be able to operate a forklift
