Low Voltage Technician

As a Low Voltage Technician at Talent Source you will be responsible for installing maintaining and repairing low voltage systems to ensure the efficient operation of electrical equipment and systems. Below are the key responsibilities and requirements for this position:

Responsibilities:

• Install troubleshoot and repair low voltage systems including security systems fire alarms CCTV access control systems and telecommunications systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical manuals to determine the layout and installation requirements of low voltage systems.
• Perform cable pulling wiring and termination according to industry standards and specifications.
• Test and commission low voltage systems to ensure proper functioning and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical support and assistance to clients and endusers as needed.
• Collaborate with other technicians and contractors to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Conduct regular maintenance inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
• Keep accurate records of work performed including maintenance schedules service reports and equipment inventory.
• Stay current with industry trends technology advancements and best practices in low voltage systems.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a low voltage technician or in a related field.
• Knowledge of low voltage systems components and installation techniques.
• Familiarity with relevant codes regulations and industry standards.
• Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions.
• Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
• Certification or training in low voltage systems preferred but not required.
• Physical ability to lift and carry equipment and work in various environments.
