Job Description

- Provide support to logistics operations and activities, following standard processes and facilitating, directly or indirectly, the effective delivery of food assistance to beneficiaries.
- Daily coordination of the movement of trucks carrying WFP cargo at Rafah crossing point.
- Identify the trucks in the truck parking against the cleared manifest and prepare for movement forward.
- Follow up on the inspection / verification of trucks carrying WFP cargo at inspection point by Egyptian authorities.
- Undertake inspection of trucks to ensure cargo are in condition as per the transport waybills before they enter the gate to proceed towards Exit crossing and report on any damages and / or missing cargo on trucks.
- Monitor the trucks entry into the Exit crossing and share daily reports on the movement of trucks.
- Monitor any return of rejected trucks / cargo back to Rafah crossing and report accordingly.
