Light Industrial - Packer

Location: Aurora IL 60540

• Determines proper packing material based on the type of product or material. Builds cartons tubes skids redicrates and wood crates of different sizes to properly pack the product or material.
• Processes packed orders using the MRP system to accommodate the required method of shipment by scheduling in the UPS system or staging for other small box or LTL carrier pick up.
• Loads packed and processed material onto carrier trucks using pallet jacks sitdown forklifts hoists etc.
• Operates electrical and pneumatic tools standard construction and mechanical tools weight scales and computers.
• Possesses beginning to basic knowledge of the subject matter.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
• No prior experience or training is required although is preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend in ENGLISH simple instructions short correspondence and memos and to communicate in English in oneonone and small group situations to other associates of the organization.
• Ability to use basic mathematical skills such as addition subtraction multiplication and division.

• Elementary understanding in the use of a computer preferably Windowsbased.
• Prior experience with power tools and standard construction tools.
• Prior experience with Powered Industrial Trucks i.e. forklifts order pickers powered pallet jacks etc.

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to focus.
• While performing the duties of this job the associate is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; talk see and hear.
• The associate is occasionally required to kneel and crouch.
