Domus Building Cleaning Company Ltd. is looking for qualified Light Duty Cleaners for an immediate position located within the Beacon Hill area. Domus has been in operation for over 50 years with more than 500 employees in multiple provinces and has an excellent reputation as a janitorial services provider.

Competitive Wage Rate of $19.20 per hour to start.

This position is fulltime Monday to Friday and will be from 7:00am to 3:00pm.

This position will require an enhanced level of Government Security Screening.

You will be required to have a 10 year living history within Canada and no significant time gaps to qualify for the position.

Main Responsibilities:

Clean assigned areas by sweeping vacuuming mopping floor surfaces in assigned areas possibly by use of mechanized cleaning equipment wherever required

Collect and dispose of trash in garbage containers on a regular basis

Operate floor machines of various types

Spot clean walls ceilings partitions light switches and doors window sills

Wipe and sanitize all public utilities such as public phones furniture and door handles

Cleaning the washroom sanitizing mopping and restocking of supplies

Follow preset policies guidelines and rules to maintain a safe working environment

Other duties and responsibilities as required

Requirements

Previous cleaning/janitorial experience an asset

Must be able to lift 40lbs plus on a regular basis

Must be able to communicate in English

Reliable

Legally allowed to work in Canada

Must live in the Ottawa/Gatineau region
