Licensed Mechanical Engineer Plumbing Design

• Performing and directing others in detailed building design including equipment sizing and selection plumbing waste and vent plumbing water supply and gas plumbing riser diagrams and isometrics and related engineering calculations.
  
• Providing technical guidance and training to more junior staff.
  
• Ensuring that design standards and quality control procedures are followed and that designs comply with federal state and local codes.
  
• Mentoring more junior staff and developing them for growth within their discipline and the firm.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).
  
• 4 years of building design experience (Plumbing).
  
• Proficiency with Revit and Bluebeam.
  
• Experience filling the role of project engineer for several projects occurring concurrently.
  
• Strong understanding and knowledge of industry codes.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Modular construction experience.
  
• Experience managing two or more people on a project team.
  
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification US based work experience and an understanding and knowledge of industry codes including the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC) International Building Code (IBC) and International Plumbing Code (IPC).
  
• Understanding of California Building Energy Efficiency Standards.
