Job Description

Req ID : 1805629

Husprey is on a mission to revolutionize how data analytics teams build and share business insights.

Our Data analytics notebooks bring data & decisions together in a single doc, for faster insight delivery, easier reproducibility, and actual knowledge sharing.

Since our launch in 2021, many market leaders with a strong data culture have adopted Husprey, including Ankorstore, Gojob, Malt, and Withings.

We are a well-funded seed-stage company, founded by a seasoned product team, and backed by first-class VCs, Business Angels, and advisors.

We form an open, ambitious and highly passionate team, currently growing in all areas. We value and stimulate ownership, initiative, and hands-on experience.

Come join us!

We are now looking for a passionate results-driven software engineer. You would join us at a key moment when we intensify our product efforts, and would therefore play a key role in the development of our SaaS platform, our Tech team and culture.

Tasks

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will take part in building the heart of our SaaS application. Its most visible piece currently consists of our Data analytics notebooks, which combine sleek text and SQL editors with specific data capabilities (query, visualization, and documentation to name a few). Your short- and mid-term challenges will hence include:

  • Build a powerful, collaborative, and easy-to-use document editor
  • Integrate with key components of the data world
  • Provide contextual help through powerful SQL parsing and knowledge extraction

You will also bring your experience in software engineering to implement the best engineering practices, mentor other engineers, and contribute to hiring your future coworkers.

Together with the co-founders and our in-house designer, you will build and execute an ambitious product roadmap that aims at shaking the data landscape. This ranges from developing innovative features for specific data use cases, meeting higher security and scalability requirements, and taking advantage of the latest web technologies to provide top-notch user experience.

You will join a team of talented, and passionate engineers. We move fast, with a lot of ownership, and are proud to tackle hard and exciting problems!

Our tech environment: Typescript, React, NodeJS, GraphQL, websockets, postgres, Docker, AWS EC2&S3, Gitlab

Requirements

You would be a good fit at Husprey if you are passionate about building products that users fall in love with! You have a self-starter spirit, are comfortable with both taking initiative and working in collaboration. You are flexible and willing to take on multiple tasks in a start-up environment.

Your success in this role will lie in your ability to tackle complex technical challenges. To do so, you question requirements, split large features into smaller deliverables, identify and take shortcuts. You also independently research, analyze, evaluate, and document these issues and solutions. We hence consider good written/verbal communication skills in both English and French as critical, together with a creative and detail-oriented mindset.

To best fill this role, you have 5+ years of professional experience as a member of an engineering team, developing services, APIs and front-end applications at scale, with some of the technologies mentioned above.

Additionally, any experience or knowledge about the following fields would be a plus:

  • Data Engineering / Data Analysis / Data Science and associated technologies
  • UX/UI design and associated tools like Figma
  • Developing and running containers in Docker or Kubernetes

You don't check all the boxes but can learn fast and want to take on new challenges? Do not hesitate to apply.

Benefits

At Husprey, we believe that our employees should be fairly rewarded, directly benefit from the success of the company, and enjoy an open and flexible work environment that can adapt to their personal constraints.

In practice, this means:

  • Flexible Office. We have offices in the center of Lyon and Paris, with remote work policy to best accommodate for your needs.
  • All the tools you need. Top of the range equipment that suits your habits and ways of working.
  • Healthcare insurance. Comprehensive health insurance, 100% of the contribution covered by Husprey for you and your family.
  • Transport. Costs for commuting via public transports entirely covered by Husprey.
  • Learning & Training opportunities. Free books and budget to attend and speak at conferences if the opportunity arises.
