Laboratory Technician mfd

Tasks

• Operate basic laboratory equipment (PCR machine tabletop centrifuge etc.)
• Strong ability to follow protocols and procedures and complete tasks in a team environment.
• Execute assignments according to established protocols
• Review raw data for quality and consistency
• Basic statistics evaluation with Microsoft Excel
• Maintain an accurate and uptodate laboratory notebook tracking work as required
• Work in a regulated GCP environment with a Laboratory Information and Management Software (LIMS)
• Participate in general lab maintenance such as cleaning freezers shared lab space and equipment and stocking shared reagents and consumables
• Participate in the establishment of new assays and devices as part of the validation process
• Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to the Company and its operations
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Completed vocational training as BTA/CTA/MTLA (or similar) or bachelors degree in life sciences with educational laboratory experience
• Meticulous attention to detail and quality both in actual laboratory practice and in documentation
• Excellent laboratory skills including proficiency in pipetting documentation and procedure (clinical sterile or molecular depending on the needs of the laboratory)
• Experience converting measurements and preparing chemical solutions and buffers
• Ability to understand protocols and perform protocols with consistency as demonstrated through previous laboratory experience
• Basic experience or proficiency with laboratory equipment and laboratory analysis such as DNA/RNA extractions PCRs NGS etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English language
