Lab Technician

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting various laboratory tests experiments and analyses
• Preparing specimens and samples for testing and analysis
• Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment and instruments
• Recording and interpreting data and results accurately
• Following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols
• Assisting in the development and improvement of laboratory techniques and procedures
• Collaborating with research teams to support ongoing projects
• Ensuring compliance with quality control and quality assurance standards
• Managing inventory of laboratory supplies and reagents
• Documenting and maintaining accurate records of experiments and findings
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in the laboratory
• Participating in the calibration and validation of laboratory equipment
• Contributing to the maintenance of a clean and organized laboratory environment
• Assisting in the training of new laboratory personnel
• Keeping updated with the latest advancements and best practices in laboratory techniques

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in a related scientific field such as biology chemistry or biochemistry
• Proven experience working in a laboratory setting preferably in a research or academic environment
• Strong understanding of laboratory procedures and protocols
• Proficiency in using various laboratory equipment and instruments
• Ability to analyze and interpret scientific data accurately
• Excellent attention to detail and precision in conducting experiments and tests
• Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
