For our client, the company F. Hoffmann La Roche with headquarters in Basel, we are looking for a Lab technician in Drug Delivery and Preformulation Sciences (m/f/d).
Background
The position is located in Preclinical Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls (pCMC), a department within the pRED Therapeutics Modalities organization, where we pave the path to bring drug candidates from early research into development in a diverse, ambitious and innovative environment. We collaborate actively with our discovery and development partner functions providing cutting-edge technologies and scientific excellence to transform molecules into future medicines.
Our team Drug Delivery and Preformulation Sciences is involved in all phases of a project across the value chain from project idea until launch providing pre-formulation know-how and sound scientific expertise in the pharmaceutical profiling of new drug candidates and drug delivery.
The perfect candidate is an experienced associate or junior scientist with at least 3-5 years experience in the field of (pre-)formulation, physical-chemical characterization of new synthetic molecules and peptides, meaning advanced skill set in several analytical technologies. Furthermore, the candidate should have a sound knowledge in pharmaceutical formulation development especially in the field of liquid and disperse dosage forms for use in preclinical studies (solutions, suspensions, emulsions) for peroral and parenteral use including respective manufacturing technologies. We expect a passion to self-reliantly work in the lab, setting up experiments and bringing in our own ideas and curiosity.
In this role, the candidate will have many interactions with cross-departmental customers and stakeholders so that general portfolio interest and excellent communication skills as well as a positive spirit help a lot to find fulfillment in this position. All work is performed under non-GMP/non-GLP conditions, however good lab work and use of established scientific practices and documentation are mandatory.
