We are currently looking for a dedicated Kitchen Helper to join one of our clients team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting kitchen operations maintaining cleanliness assisting with food preparation and ensuring compliance with sanitation standards.
Responsibilities:
- Wash dishes utensils and kitchen equipment using appropriate cleaning methods and ensuring compliance with sanitation standards.
- Assist with the sorting storage and distribution of ingredients to designated areas helping to maintain inventory control.
- Aid in the preparation of food items including chopping vegetables portioning ingredients and assembling dishes under the guidance of the chef or line cooks.
- Support the kitchen staff during busy periods by helping to expedite orders restocking supplies and maintaining cleanliness in work areas.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations before and after service ensuring that all equipment and surfaces are clean and sanitized.
- Follow food safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe and hygienic environment at all times.
- Collaborate with other kitchen team members to ensure smooth communication and teamwork throughout shifts.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment preferred.
- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fastpaced environment with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
- Flexibility to work mornings.
