This is a remote position.

Job Opportunity: Key Account Manager ideally located in the North West or West Midlands who will be responsible for a number of key customers, working with them to further develop existing business as well as targeting new accounts. On offer is a salary of up to £38,000 plus a generous bonus scheme, a company car or car allowance and the option to be office, home or mixed home/office based.

Our Client offers a specialised product range for the construction and new build sectors which is sold to a variety of customers and requires a Key Account / National Account management approach to ensure what is sold at Head Office Level is supported at branch level and that all opportunities for additional product range listings are fully investigated.

Responsibilities for the Key Account Manager will include:

  • Full Key Account Management for specified accounts.
  • Proactively look to increase your account base and to build a pipeline of sales opportunities.
  • Managing the day to day customer communication, coordinating with relevant internal teams to create and maximise all opportunities across your account base.
  • Developing strong business relationships to deliver an excellent customer service experience and ensure the business is front of mind for new business opportunities.
  • Developing strategies and sales plans that deliver profitable business growth in line with business objectives, reporting on progress of sales vs expectation.
  • Ensuring the effective financial management of your accounts.
  • Monitoring and reporting on market and competitor activity, providing relevant reports and information.
  • Undertake gap analysis for your customers to aid with NPD.
  • Work with internal teams and customer base to successfully launch new products.
  • Setting and achieving KPIs at both account and business level.
  • Attend and/or exhibit at relevant trade shows.

To be considered as the Key Account Manager you will need:

  • Experience of working within National or Key Accounts management, developing relationships with head office buyers and teams at individual branches to ensure consistency in product listings and to offer product knowledge and support.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a hunger to continue to learn and develop.
  • To be a self-starter with excellent communication, organisational and presentation skills.
  • To be a strong relationship builder.
  • To ideally living within commuting distance of the West Midlands or North West.

On Offer is a salary of up to £38,000 plus company car or car allowance, generous bonus scheme plus all the standard package elements.
