The cloud engineering team is broken down into 4 subcomponents. Security Data Governance Landing Zones Automation. They like to pass off the resources across all 4 teams. That is why they need both infrastructure and application knowledge. The team is a heavy application team because typically infrastructure is easier to pick up huge emphasis on coding and best practices(they like a java background).
