IT Security Network Engineering

• This role will involve the design development implementation deployment and optimization of the infrastructure security via internal abilities and capacity as well as 3rd party suppliers. SLA monitoring failover & disaster recovery capacity planning network related hardware/software upgrades and migration training and fault management.
  

• Ensure 98.% Network& Security Availability
  

• Network security design reviews standardization and optimization either directly or via 3rd Party support.
  

• Provide field service and fast response callout ability either using internal resource or via 3rd Party Network Providers / Operators to achieve defined and agreed Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) targets.
  

• Ensure standards controls and regulation are strictly complied and adhered in all operational and service delivery activities.
  

• Create and maintain schematics architectural and topological diagrams of the entire security architecture and ensure a Change Management procedure is adhered in case of design changes.
  

• Develop and administer capacityplanning and tracking capabilities to ensure responsiveness to increases or imbalances in workload or redistribution of configurations necessary to optimize the secure network performance.
  

• Provides daily weekly monthly quarterly and yearly Network Performance Reports giving clear unambiguous views of Security Posture Network Response. Develop and administer policies and procedures for the Enterprise Network Unit including creating documentation change control and quality control.
  

• Deal with requests enquiries and complaints in a timely and courteous manner and provide regular updates on the progress of any issue or fault right through to resolution.
  

• Constant interaction with other organizational departments to determine new and changed needs support requests expectations and support reviews in order to assess performance and to ensure operations and goals are constantly in line with organizational needs and aspirations.
  

• Define implement and enforce network security measures and ensure strict adherence in line with regulatory industry and organizational expectations. Proactively manage the regular test of security measures via arranged 3rd party penetration and vulnerability simulations. Further to detection ensure all identified shortcomings are resolved or blocked within short resolution timeframes.
  

• This role will consistently and proactively work with 3rd party suppliers equipment providers and outsource partners to achieve organizational objectives for Network Availability Integration Optimization Responsiveness and Repair.
  

• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as requested by Team Lead of Network security & Rollout
  

• Implement and enforce network security Jobs assigned by Team Lead Networks Security & Rollout/Head Networks and ensure strict adherence in line with regulatory industry and organizational expectations.
  

• Manage regular test of security measures via arranged 3rd party penetration and vulnerability simulations. Further to detection ensure all identified shortcomings are documented and reported.

Requirements

Job Requirements

Educational Qualification:

Good technology related university degree preferably in Computer Science/Electrical Electronics Engineering or Numeric Science. Masters qualification will be an advantage.

• Minimum of 4 years cognate IT and Network and Security experience in a large to mediumsized bank/ financial institution.
