We RentoMojo were founded by IITM alums and serial entrepreneurs who worked out of almost every major city in India in his first five years of corporate career. Frustrated with the hassles of relocating from one place to the other and tired of finding that perfect cluster of home essentials that suited their lifestyle.
RentoMojo caters to the needs of the working professionals which is unmet due to nonavailability of furnished rental flats by offering furniture and appliances on rental basis thus providing more flexibility than owning the expensive furniture and appliances.
Currently we have 130000 subscribers with a typical rental period of 1214 months. The current market size (as per a recent report by Grant Thornton) is estimated to be US$ 4.1 Billion and expected to grow to US$ 13 Billion by 2025.
With 700 people operations the company has a presence in 16 cities across India. Looking back Rentomojo has not only made a new market of lease which never existed for the consumer they have also become market leaders in the consumer rental industry. Unlike the norm they are now seeing a reverse trend wherein a version of ours is being copied in the US and UK.
The spending youth especially the millennials & Gen Zs prefer staying light desire flexibility and are valueconscious. Willing to experiment with new stuff across categories that make life simpler and not boring these generations are also sensitive to our planets sustainability. Role Dimensions:
ROLE : IT Engineer
LOCATION : Bangalore
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Intern to join our IT Department at Rentomojo. As an intern you will have the opportunity to gain handson experience in system configuration network setup asset management software installation and troubleshooting and basic networking. This internship will provide valuable exposure to the IT operations of a leading ecommerce business in the furniture and appliances rental industry.
Responsibilities and Ownership:

- System Configuration:
- Assist in configuring and setting up computer systems for new employees.
- Perform hardware and software installations and updates as per the requirements.
- Ensure proper functioning of systems and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Network Setup and Maintenance:
- Assist in setting up and maintaining the network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure network connectivity and smooth operations.
- Troubleshoot networkrelated issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Backline Creation and Management:
- Support the creation and maintenance of backups for critical systems and data.
- Ensure proper backup procedures are followed and regularly test backups for data integrity.
- Assist in restoring data from backups when necessary.
- Asset Management:
- Assist in managing and tracking IT assets including hardware and software inventory.
- Help maintain an accurate record of asset details such as serial numbers and configurations.
- Coordinate with the IT team to streamline asset allocation and retrieval processes.
- Software Installation and Troubleshooting:
- Assist in software installation updates and license management.
- Provide basic troubleshooting support to endusers for softwarerelated issues.
- Escalate complex software problems to the appropriate IT personnel.
- Basic Networking:
- Support the maintenance of LAN and WAN infrastructure.
- Assist in basic network troubleshooting including connectivity and configuration issues.
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure network security and data protection.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- Basic understanding of computer systems hardware and software.
- Familiarity with network concepts and protocols.
- Strong problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Enthusiasm to learn and contribute to the IT operations of an ecommerce business.
Duration:
This is an internship position for a duration of 6 months. Based on performance POP offer is available.
