IT Engineer I

Engagement Description

Implementing DMARC (Domainbased Message Authentication Reporting and Conformance) across multiple domains to enhance email security. This project involves configuring DMARC policies to move all domains into enforcement mitigating email spoofing and phishing attacks effectively.

Required Skills/Experience The rest of the required skills/experience. Include:

Understanding of Email Protocols: Knowledge of SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) SPF (Sender Policy Framework) DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) and DMARC protocols is essential for implementing DMARC effectively. Strong troubleshooting around emails their delivery and rejection error messages.

Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with DNS (Domain Name System) configuration and management is necessary for setting up DMARC records. Additionally understanding email authentication mechanisms and cryptographic principles is beneficial.

Cybersecurity Awareness: A strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts including email security best practices phishing techniques and threat intelligence is crucial for designing robust DMARC policies.

Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze DMARC reports and interpret the data to identify sources of email abuse spoofing attempts and compliance issues.

Preferred Skills/Experience

Project Management: Skills in project planning coordination and execution are important for managing a DMARC implementation project across multiple domains and stakeholders.
