Investment Analyst

Overview:  

SMArtX Advisory Solutions, a fast-growing Financial Services Technology company located in West Palm Beach, Florida, is hiring an Investment Analyst within the Manager Solutions team. The Investment Analyst would provide research coverage and support for asset managers using SMArtX as a distribution channel for their strategies. The best candidate will have a passion for strategy research and the asset management space, as well as general knowledge about the financial services and investment technology industry. 

In addition to providing research and creating content covering the asset managers on the platform, the Investment Analyst will support SMArtX’s OCIO services and strategies and will assist in maintaining Select List publications.  They will also work closely with the Manager Solutions Team to deepen existing relationships with asset managers on the platform.

The individual will receive detailed training on how the platform works and how SMArtX works with financial advisors and asset managers. They will mainly work with the Research and Manager Solutions teams, but will also work with the client success, marketing, and compliance teams. SMArtX is looking for a candidate with a great demeanor and a tenacious attitude who can expand our manager research presence as well as generate content on those managers and their strategies. 

What you’ll do:

• Conduct research on the asset managers and their strategies on the platform
• Develop relationships with both asset managers and financial advisors
• Generate content covering strategies on the platform that will educate financial advisors
• Enhance and make improvements to the firm’s existing internal documentation and processes
• Work with OCIO to maintain SMArtX’s Select List and publish updates every quarter
• Assist with managing OCIO strategies on the platform

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Certified Financial Analyst  is a MUST
• 5+ years of experience in a previous investment analyst or consulting role
• 2+ years of experience in a technology or financial services field
• Excellent organizational skills 
• Excellent verbal, written, visual/presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
• Motivated self-starter, with an ability to work independently and perform well in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment
• Ability to build strong working relationships with other team members across geographic locations
• Familiarity working for or with financial technology or financial services companies
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships
• Commitment to quality and detail
