Lakeside HR Group has been engaged to recruit for a Human Resources Manager for a Midwest leader in food product excellence located in St. Paul Minnesota. This is a familyowned business which has operated since 1951 and has always preferred to offer the highest quality food available while supporting communities by using local farmers and purveyors whenever possible. Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for personnel resource management.
  • Responsible for Company compliance with government regulations and guidelines.
  • Manage annual employee insurance benefit programs and workers compensation claims.
  • Develop/maintain effective training programs for management and employees.

Performance Objectives:

1) Establish an effective employee compensation program
  • Audit and create appropriate job descriptions for all company positions.
  • Complete an effective compensation analysis to create pay ranges for all positions.
  • Audit wage and hour practices for the Company. Ensure compliance with Department of Labor regulations and guidelines.

2) Develop programs to ensure company compliance with the following requirements:
  • FLSA (Fair Labor Standard Act)
  • I9 Employment Verification Complete training for utilization of Everify services and background checks
  • ACA Healthcare Reform COBRA Benefits Administration Wrap Plan Documents Section 125 Compliance
  • Regulatory Compliance (US Census Bureau State Unemployment Workers Compensation etc.)

3) Coordinate with outside partners and internal stakeholders to ensure effective utilization of all human resources
  • Maintain personnel files for all employees to ensure files are maintained in an organized fashion with all required documentation. Ensure accurate recordkeeping of employee files in the ADP Workforce Now system. Longterm goal to convert personnel files to digital storage.
  • Maintain annual revisions for Employee Handbook and Company policies. Communicate revisions to all personnel in a timely fashion. Assist with training for employees to utilize the ADP system for payroll vacation tracking and insurance information.
  • Review and make recommendations for recruiting and new hire practices.
  • Address personnel complaints in a timely and professional manner. Utilize HR Professional services through Associated Financial Group for problem resolution.

4) Responsible for development of effective training programs for employees and management.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Human Resources management
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred

***This is an onsite position without the option to work remote or hybrid.
