The Human Resource Generalist will perform daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department under the guidance but with minimal supervision from the director human resources including: recruitment employee relations training and development compensation and HR administration and reporting.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Recruitment
Leads recruitment including developing/updating job descriptions in collaboration with hiring managers; screens resumes and applicants; arranges interviews with hiring managers; conducts reference checks; and arranges for background checks.
Develops metrics and assesses recruiting analytics to track timetofill first year attrition Hiring Manger satisfaction candidate experience etc.
Ensures all hiring processes are effective and legally compliant.
Develops and implements innovative costeffective recruitment strategies to enable the association to attract talent including proactive sourcing and strategic outreach to identify a wellqualified candidate pool.
Administers internship program.

Employee Relations
Implements on/off boarding of employees collaborating with internal teams (payroll benefits IT and other department heads) to ensure a smooth and thorough experience.
Serves in a customer service role handling employmentrelated inquiries from employees and supervisors referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the director of human resources.
Supports director in the resolution of complex employee relations issues.

Training and Development:
Supports a continuous learning culture by assisting with training and development initiatives.
Coordinate annual mandatory trainings.

Compensation:
Supports compensation related activities such as new hire offers and salary increases to ensure compliance with corporation s compensation framework.
Manages corporation s participation in compensation surveys.

HR Administration and Reporting:
Maintains personnel records.
Serves as admin for Ceridian/Dayforce for personnel data management.
Assists in the interpretation and upkeep of the employee handbook employee directory and organizational chart and contributes to policy development.
Looks for opportunities to automate HR functions to reduce burden on HR team.
Enforces company policies and practices.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor s degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field from an accredited college/university.
MBA/MA/PHR SHRM or SPHR certified preferred.
Minimum 5 years of related experience required.
Superior Ceridian/DayForce skills specifically Recruitment and People modules.
Effective interpersonal skills including the ability to establish and maintain credibility trust and rapport with staff at all levels.
Ability to act with integrity professionalism and confidentiality.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Thorough knowledge of employmentrelated laws and regulations.
Selfstarter with strong and dependable followthrough in all areas of responsibility; ability to take ownership of assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
