Heavy Equipment Operator

Position: Heavy Equipment Operator
Location: Windsor ON
Wage: Up to $35/HR depending on experience
Schedule: 810 hour shifts & Monday to Friday occasional Saturday

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a reliable and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate must have proficient experience operating a variety of heavy equipment including but not limited to cranes excavators forklifts bulldozers dump trucks backhoes graders and frontend loaders.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Operating a range of heavy equipment to perform tasks at construction sites
Loading and unloading equipment from transportation vehicles
Inspecting equipment before and after use to ensure proper functioning
Monitoring equipment performance and making necessary adjustments
Tracking and notifying supervisors of required equipment maintenance
Completing performance records and reports on equipment usage
Cleaning and maintaining equipment after use
Laying pipes into trenches and applying spacers

Skills and Qualifications:

Certification in operating equipment (forklift bobcat excavators etc.)
Proficient coordination in using controls on heavy equipment
Ability to operate heavy equipment controls with strength
Capacity to sit or operate equipment for extended periods
Problemsolving skills for equipment diagnostics
Effective oral communication skills for team interaction
Basic writing skills for accurate documentation
Good noncommercial driver's license history showcasing safe driving habits
