About the Property:

It is a magnificent domaine in Mougins privately owned.

The project:

We are looking for an experienced & professional Handyman willing to take a long seasonal contract which if both sides are happy could become a permanent contract CDI.

This is a LIVEIN position.

The position is to be filled in as soon as possible. The team is willing to find the suitable candidate and going through a proper recruitment process. You will be under the supervision of the Villa Manager.

The Domaine is occupied all around the year by the Couple with the summer season being the high season (Beginning March till Mid October). The owners also travel from time to time.

The duties of the Handyman will be as follows:

You will be mainly in charge of driving Madam on a daily basis to the riding stable. If you are passionate for horses riding races nature and animals generally speaking this position is definitely for you!

As a Handyman you will equally be in charge of all the technical duties in regards to the Villa and mainly the exterior part of the Villa

You will report directly to the Villa Manager of the property and discuss all repairs and potential issues to be dealt with. Of course there are external suppliers dealing with the main repairs that would have to be done. A deep sense of understanding quotes and reading technical reports is required so that you can bring your input and analysis to the Villa Manager in order to help take the best relevant decisions.

More precisely you will be in charge of :

• Surveillance and guarding of the domaine
• Managing the proper functioning of equipment and devices
• Carrying out small DIY jobs and repairs
• Sweeping and cleaning all the terraces exterior areas and vegetable gardens
• Making sure all the exterior area entrance guard room technical rooms and alleys remain always clean and tidy
• Doing some groceries for the Villa for the kitchen when the Chef or the Cook needs a hand on buying some products buying or collecting some items for the owners if needed.
• Maintenance of technical tools and vehicles on the property (inside and out fuelling the cars making sure that the tyres are pumped up that there is always oil and general care of a car)
• Races and driver on request
• Pool maintenance overseeing the functioning of electrical systems and waste management
• Respect for the security and confidentiality of the premises

You would also be offering your assistance in the service inside the villa to help the team if ever needed.

Desired Profile

• You have at least 3 years of experience in a similar position & environment
• You must be very autonomous polyvalent & dynamic and able to report and respect your hierarchy at the same time.
• You are a petfriendly person who is comfortable around pets on the property. Ideally you have a passion for horses and their care
• Hardworking with a cando positive attitude
• You have great soft skills as an individual for this position soft skills are more important than hard skills.
• You are a smiling person you like to work in a team and you are discrete. You have a positive attitude.
• You are always on time and present well you take care of your appearance even if you are involved in manual jobs (eg: you make sure that you do not walk into the Villa with dirty shoes on)
• You have a real sense of human relations and communication comes with an ease to you. You are a team player.
• You have a previous experience in manual jobs and you are skilled
• You have previously worked in private luxury villas and you know how to behave accordingly. You are polite discreet & respect the confidentiality of the property
• You MUST speak French English language is a plus
• You MUST have a car and a driving licence to be able to drive all the cars in the property

Salary: EURnet/month (depending on profile and experience).

Package:

• French CDD contract 35 hours a week
• very strong possibility of it becoming permanent CDI contract.
• Trial period : 1 month
• LIVE IN position
• Independent House including 1 Bedroom 1 Living Room 1 Kitchen 1 Bathroom fully furnished house 1 private large garden.
