Group Consolidation Accountant - IFRS 917 wmd 8560

For a short-term project at our client's site (Home Office possible within Switzerland), an international insurance based in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced Group Consolidation Accountant - IFRS 9/17.

In this role, you will collaborate with the team in the preparation of the quarterly and consolidation processes and assist the team in managing the busy IFRS 17 reporting and consolidation schedule for 2022.

Tasks

• Responsible for analysing the consolidated data and IFRS 9
• Assisting in preparation of audit and Internal Control over Financial Reporting backup and supporting documents
• Preparing the quarterly production of the consolidated financial statements of the company under IFRS
• Supporting the team preparation of other disclosure tables in the consolidated financial statements
• Handling of ad hoc requests

Requirements

• 3+ years working experience in accounting, controlling, and reporting, ideally within the financial industry
• Strong know-how of IFRS and general accounting
• Solid skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) especially in Excel, Power Pivot, Query, and BI knowledge are a plus
• Knowledge of BCS and BW (SAP), know-how of EC-CS or other consolidation software is an advantage
• Qualification in Finance (Controlling and Accounting) such as Bachelor's degree or equivalent is a plus
• Proactive and flexible personality with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Willing to take ownership, hardworking, persistent, able to work under pressure, team-oriented personality
• Fluent in English, German is a plus
