General Accountant

We are looking for a motivated General Accountant to join our team!

Responsibilities:

• Supports General Ledger accounting functions including cash management accruals financial statements audit schedules and intercompany activity.
• Supports US generally accepted accounting principles as well as policies and procedures to promote continuous improvements to the quality of the financial statements and accounting processes.
• Assists Finance/Cost Accounting Manager in ensuring VPG Canada maintains compliance with all Sarbanes Oxley related controls.
• Supports the month end close and prepares and assists in various financial performance analyses (actual vs budget forecast & prior periods).
• Uploads month end data to TM1 & Reconciles data to Sage accounting system.
• Performs reconciliations of all company bank accounts
• Performs timely and accurate financial reporting and close processes for VPG Canada
• Ensures successful compliance with all SOX & Internal Control processes.
• Overseas fixed asset accounting
• Assists in the audit process.
• Other projects as assigned.

Requirements :

• Bachelor s Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience.
• 35 year s hands on experience in full charge accounting close.
• 36 years of related financial accounting.
• Practical knowledge of ERP systems and advanced skills in Excel
