Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat patients with disorders of the digestive system
• Perform a variety of gastrointestinal procedures including endoscopy and colonoscopy
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive treatment plans
• Provide consultations for patients referred for gastrointestinal issues
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests to assess gastrointestinal health
• Prescribe and administer appropriate medications and treatments
• Advise patients on lifestyle and dietary modifications to improve gastrointestinal health
• Document patient care and progress in medical records
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in gastroenterology and incorporate best practices into clinical care
• Participate in departmental meetings case conferences and other collaborative activities
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and ethical standards

Required Qualifications

• DM or DNB in Gastroenterology from a recognized institution
• Valid medical license to practice as a Gastroenterologist
• Board certification in Gastroenterology
• Proven experience in diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal disorders
• Expertise in performing gastrointestinal procedures including endoscopy and colonoscopy
• Strong knowledge of current trends and developments in gastroenterology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative multidisciplinary healthcare environment
