Client: One of the worlds largest energy companies focusing on the exploration production

refining and marketing of oil and natural gas.

Location: Jatujak Bangkok

Type of Hiring: Permanent

The role involves preparing statutory financial statements and handling accounting matters in compliance with TFRS for NPAEs USGAAP and Corporate Income Tax. Responsibilities include overseeing monthend quarterend and yearend reporting as well as conducting cash flow forecasting. Additionally the position entails analyzing sales and financial data to offer insights and recommendations for enhancing business unit performance identifying risks and spotting new opportunities both internally and externally.

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinating with Finance Shared Services to ensure accurate recording and reporting during monthend quarterend and yearend processes.
  • Analyzing and interpreting complex financial data and variances for Business Units Asia Pacific Decision Support and Reporting (DSR) and other stakeholders in both Thai and English.
  • Collaborating with various departments such as Sales Operations and Marketing to gather and share financial information.
  • Implementing new accounting standards and addressing financerelated inquiries from the Business Unit.
  • Preparing statutory accounts and facilitating external audits completion.
  • Preparing monthly Corporate Income Tax and Deferred Income Tax provisions understanding tax adjustments and submitting accurate annual income tax returns to the Revenue Department with timely submission.
  • Performing accounts reconciliation for quarterly tax provision and computing current and deferred taxes to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Responding to and providing information to support tax queries raised by the Revenue Department in conjunction with a tax manager to expedite finalization of corporate income tax audit.
  • Participating in projects and offering decision support on key business initiatives utilizing SAP expertise for system enhancements contributing to project success.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting with at least 5 years experience in multinational companies specializing in tax reconciliation.
  • Experience in the fuel and lubricant industries is advantageous while experience in manufacturing and costing is beneficial.
  • Audit background is preferred.
  • Proficient in both Thai and English possessing strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of local statutory regulations in Finance USGAAP Accounting Taxation Audit Compliances and SOX.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to multitask prioritize and deliver results while managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Effective interaction and communication with key stakeholders and peers providing clear and concise recommendations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills accountability initiative and commitment to process improvement with proficiency in MS Office especially Excel and PowerPoint and experience in using Power BI preferred.
