Finance Manager

We are a growing company that has recently added two brands to its portfolio of products hence we are now seeking a Finance Manager to join us who will be responsible for managing the UK operational finance team where you will maintain the Purchase and Sales Ledgers Banking and develop a high level of financial control. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential as well as strong financial accounting knowledge. It goes without saying you will have excellent communication skills including the ability to motivate and encourage your wider team (including 8 direct reports) whilst relaying information clearly to nonfinance colleagues clearly. You will have the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external colleagues including suppliers and customers whilst enabling the finance team to complete the workload through effective and positive team working.

Tasks:

• Manage Finance team to ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records via our ERP systems
• Ultimate responsibility of the performance of the Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable & banking ledgers
• Define and monitor key KPIs including debtor days overdue debt % sales Bad debt write off Debtor aging Operating cashflow unreconciled differences suspense account balance
• Approve bank payments
• Oversee CIS procedures and reverse charge VAT
• Review sales ledger/ supplier reconciliations
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
• Review finance and business processes and identify risk areas and add appropriate controls to mitigate risk
• Working with the external auditors to ensure a clean audit report

Profile:

• Inspirational positive working style with the ability to bring less experienced members of the team forward in their career
• Must have substantial experience within a similar role
• Ability to lead a team previous management experience is essential to the role
• Ability to work across multiple different tasks whilst maintaining the highest levels of accuracy is essential
• Ability to actively manager your own diary and prioritise tasks as required
• Comfortable and confident to attend and discuss finance related initiatives internal and external colleagues and customers
