Finance Director

What we are looking for

We are seeking a highly experienced Finance Director to join our team. This position requires strong financial acumen excellent leadership skills and a commitment to our impactdriven mission. The ideal candidate will play a key role in overseeing and managing the financial aspects providing endtoend financial management. They will also streamline and improve existing processes utilizing system improvements where possible.

What does the job involve

The Ideal Candidate will be responsible for:

• Advising the Executive Director and senior management team on all matters relating to financial performance and guiding financial strategy.
• Overseeing the preparation of our financial statement compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements and providing clear and insightful

financial report to the Executive Director.

• Implementing robust financial systems and developing policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient financial management within the organization.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and provide guidance to senior management on budget development budget variances and collaborate with teams to address discrepancies and prepare financial forecasts and scenario analyses to support decisionmaking.
• Proactively identify potential risks associated with different investment opportunities considering market conditions the financial health of the target company and the regulatory environment.
• Providing leadership and guidance to the finance team fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment while also collaborating with other departments within the company as well as external stakeholders to achieve goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in finance accounting or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
• 10 years experience as a Finance Director.
• Deep understanding of accounting principles.
• Qualified in ACA ACCA CIMA or equivalent.
• Strong financial analytical and modeling skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint).
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage a large number of tasks simultaneously.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
• Knowledge and appreciation of our vision and mission.
• A strong background in managing staff and promoting a positive workplace culture.
• Demonstrated knowledge of investment portfolio management.
