Facilities Associate - Wayfair Stores

Brief Overview of Position
Wayfairs Physical Retail team is reinventing the shopping experience for Home by curating our portfolio of
furniture dcor housewares and home improvement categories into one store come be a part of it! We are
seeking a Facilities Associate to help launch all facilities components and functions in the very first physical retail
store. What Youll Do: Work independently and with little to no supervision to troubleshoot conveyor material
handling systems electrical plumbing mechanical and fire protection systems. Operates floor sweeper /
scrubber to maintain facility floor. General building maintenance including but not limited to plumbing
carpentry and painting. Dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with established OSHA and Wayfair safety
policies and procedures. Conduct daily/weekly preventative maintenance and completes daily log sheet.
Perform preoperation checklist and verify all safety devices are functional at all times. Maintain a clean and
safe work area. Complete work orders records logs and other written or computerbased documents. Perform
other jobrelated duties as directed by Manager/Supervisor.

Essential Functions
Strong mechanical aptitude and basic carpentry and maintenance experience including carpentry
painting plumbing.
Experience safely using warehouse equipment such as order pickers pallet jacks forklifts and aerial lifts.
Proficient using hand and power tools and computers to perform required duties.
Must be flexible on working hours and willing to work scheduled & unscheduled overtime.
Ability to regularly bend lift stretch crawl and reach engage in full manual dexterity in both hands and
wrists and stand and walk for long periods.
Must be comfortable repeatedly lifting up to 75 lbs unassisted.
Ability to access all areas of the building by climbing ladders and gangways safely and without limitation.
Ability to work in a nonclimate controlled environment that can be noisy and unlit.
Follow all company safety policies procedures and guidelines.
Ability to work independently as part of a team and take direction.
Must be a safety conscious motivated detail oriented selfstarter with a positive attitude.
