Position Overview

The Experience Centre Officer is responsible for providing an immersive and customercentric shopping experience within CED Africa s Experience Centre. This role involves direct interaction with clients facilitating demonstrations of AV technology within the centres various spaces such as the home cinema HiFi audio room media lounge caf and outdoor patio with the goal of converting opportunities into sales.


Responsibilities:

  • Welcome visitors and provide a guided experience through the different zones of the Experience Centre.
  • Conduct demonstrations of AV systems and explain product features and benefits with expertise.
  • Provide unrivalled customer service to experience centre rental guests to guarantee a sensory evoking hospitality experience.
  • Answer customer inquiries and provide recommendations based on their preferences and needs.
  • Collect feedback from visitors to improve the experience and report insights to the Experience Centre Manager.
  • Assist in the organization and execution of events workshops and product launches within the centre.
  • Maintain uptodate knowledge of AV technology trends to provide accurate information to clients.
  • Ensure all displays are functioning correctly and liaise with the technical team for any required maintenance.
  • Support sales processes including processing transactions and managing aftersales followups.
  • Engage with industry partners to assess client requirements and propose customized AV and automation solutions.
  • Stay current with evolving AV technology trends maintaining certifications in the AVIXA design track.


Performance KPIs:

  • Customer engagement levels and satisfaction ratings.
  • Contribution to sales targets as part of the Experience Centre team.
  • Accuracy and effectiveness in product demonstrations.
  • Positive feedback from customer surveys and reviews.
  • Efficiency in handling customer inquiries and issues.


Incentive Structure:

  • Monthly bonuses based on the Experience Centre s overall performance and individual contribution to sales.
  • Recognition programs for outstanding customer service feedback or innovative ideas to enhance the visitor experience.
  • This role is key in creating a memorable brand experience for visitors and requires a passion for technology as well as a customerfirst approach.




Requirements

  • Experience in customer service or sales preferably within a technology or AV retail environment.
  • 1 2 year
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers and enhance their shopping experience.
  • Basic technical knowledge of AV products and eagerness to learn more.
  • Professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • High school diploma required; further education or certification in sales customer service or relevant field is advantageous.
