Overview
We re seeking a Summer Intern who is passionate and knowledgeable about experiential brand marketing. This is an amazing opportunity for someone who works well in a fastpaced environment loves to get their hands dirty and who possesses the energy and desire to learn and absorb to bring big ideas to life and work with fun smart people who give it their all.
This position will work in tandem with the Playbook team to ensure seamless planning and execution of events through vendor negotiation staffing site & permit planning F&B fulfillment etc. They will gain handson experience of running successful events further develop interpersonal and written communication skills and be able to juggle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
Responsibilities
Support with the planning production and execution of events from large scale events to small user groups.
Assist the Playbook Team with preevent responsibilities including but are not limited to: site visits vendor and supplier sourcing and management meeting agenda development and event flow event promotion and registration printing and shipping budget management travel arrangements staffing event followup and reporting etc.;
Onsite duties include ensuring proper setup and signage display registration coordination AV testing supplier management promo staff management time management.
Actively contribute in brainstorming and ideation sessions
Basic Qualifications
Currently enrolled or a recent graduate of a post secondary event marketing or event management program.
Experience working in event planning and project management is an asset.
Superior oral and written communication skills with an innate attention to detail.
Willingness to work outside in addition to general office hours when required.
Must be 19 years of age or older
Preferred Qualifications
Work experience in the alcohol beverage industry is considered an asset.
Ability to juggle multiple priorities to execute high quality deliverables.
Computer proficiency in MS Office programs including Word Excel and Powerpoint as well as Google Software including Docs Sheets and Slides considered an asset.
Computer skills with design software including Adobe Suite (Illustrator Photoshop InDesign) and 3D design programs considered an asset.
Experience working in a fastpaced and highly crossfunctional organization.
Requirements
G drivers license with everyday access to a car willingness to drive/travel and ability to work independently and autonomously
Ability to work from our Etobicoke office minimum 3 days a week
