About The Position:
As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our companys operations by providing accurate cost estimates for our awning and shade projects. Your responsibilities will include analyzing project specifications, preparing cost estimates, bidding, handling submittals, managing change orders, and collaborating with various teams to ensure the successful execution of projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong attention to detail and a passion for precision.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze project specifications and requirements to determine project scope.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for awning and shade projects, including materials, labor, and overhead costs.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and clients to ensure all project requirements are met.
- Review project plans and blueprints to identify potential challenges and cost-saving opportunities.
- Handle bidding processes, including soliciting quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Manage submittals to ensure that all project documentation and approvals are properly processed.
- Process and track change orders as needed to address project modifications.
- Read and interpret drawings and blueprints to understand project details and specifications.
- Maintain a database of cost estimates for reference and historical analysis.
- Provide timely and detailed estimates for new and existing clients.
- Continuously improve estimating processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in estimating or a related role.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of awning and shade systems is a plus.
Compensation:
Competitive compensation, with an annual salary ranging from $65,000 to $72,000, based on experience.
Schedule:
Full-time, in-office position, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Telephone interviews will be conducted as part of the initial selection process before scheduling in-person interviews.
